17.03.2007 / 2007 IWTC / GP Spain (Madrid) Cabestany finishes third >in the Indoor World Trials Championship Albert finishes within points 3 of second place overall
Albert Cabestany has finished the indoor World Trials Championship of the World in third place overall. The rider from Tarragona, who won the last two rounds which were held in Milan and Nankeen, had moved into >second place in the overall classification. Albert was unable tocontinue his winning ways and did not make the final in this last round because of three fiascoes, one in section one and two more in sections seven and eight.

Because he did not make the final in this last round of the Indoor >Championship which was held in the sports center of Madrid, Albert lost his second place standing to his pursuer, Adam Raga, who was able to >conquer and surpass him in the final classification.

The curtain has closed on this seasons Indoor Trials Championship but Albert Cabestany >will continue his career by competing in the second round of the Spanish Championship which will be held in Port Adventure (Tarragona) >on March 25th.

He will also continue his preparation for the Outdoor World Championship. The first round is scheduled to be held in Real Spot (Spain) on April 1st.

Albert Cabestany and Sherco, together for two more years

Albert Cabestany has renewed his contract with Sherco for two more years. The plan is to improve on the good results that have been obtained in the two past seasons.

Albert, who is a 24 years old and a native of Tarragona, started riding for Sherco in 2005, and has twice been the runner-up in the Indoor Championship on the mark.

Albert is always among the leaders in the Outdoor World Championship and the Championship of Spain; he has also won several GP Championships. We believe that better understanding of the equipment will bear more fruit in 2007.
