Albert Cabestany finished in second place in the premiere round of the Spanish Indoor Trials Championship, which was held near Albert’s home town of Tarragona. This same event saw the debut of the Sherco 3.2 4T in indoor competition at the hands of Dani Oliveras, who finished in sixth place.

Albert Cabestany who is the reigning indoor champion of Spain was the last rider to start, which gave him the advantage of knowing the scores of all his rivals. Since he knew what score he needed to make the final, he was very careful to complete the last sections with no failures.

On the other hand because of the lack of experience of Dani Oliveras – this is his second season to be invited to compete in the Spanish Championship - he struggled with some of the more difficult indoor sections. One must remember that the Championship of Spain is a very high level competition. Because of this difficulty, Oliveras was unable to make the final.

In the final, Cabestany lost the opportunity of a victory in the first section; his rivals scored fewer points in this critical section. Albert rode well enough in the rest of the trial to win the second podium position.
